About Sue :)
Hi there!
My name is Susan Daniels and you have found my website. I have a website because I am active in quite a few areas and I feel it is a good place to provide you with information I can help you with. Please keep it handy in your “favorites” as it has many good links and a lot of information on Lake Tahoe and the region.
ABOUT ME: First of all, my parents decided in the 1950’s to stay in Tahoe City and raise 2 daughters in the mountains by a big clear lake. I am so lucky!! I grew up skiing and swimming, hiking and biking. I only left part time to attend college at UC Davis and CSU Chico. I have worked teaching and coaching skiing and as a timber cruiser and grader. I have taught swimming and water safety. I love to study history and genealogy. My husband of many years and I are proud parents of 3 successful children and a beautiful granddaughter. We have enjoyed our horses, dogs and cats and we have even built our own houses.
For the past 20+ years I have been self employed as a successful California licensed Realtor (DRE# 01066252 active since 1989). I specialize in residential and vacation homes, condos and vacant land purchases and sales in the Sierra Nevada mountains around Lake Tahoe and Truckee- Donner Lake areas. You may contact me directly by email at Sue@LakeTahoeSue.com or by phone at 530-581-7772.
I am currently serving on the local Tahoe Sierra Board of Realtors as the 2009 Board of Directors President. This opportunity to serve has also helped me increase a reservoir of knowledge while participating in local, regional and statewide governing issues and policy direction committees. I am also serving on the North Tahoe Public Utilities District Board of Directors. This opportunity to serve the over 5300 property owners in my local community with 4 other directors has been great. We provide spectacular fresh water to most of the properties between the CA/NV stateline to Dollar Point. In order to keep Tahoe pure and beautiful for generations to come, we provide safe sanitary sewage removal from the basin to treatment in the TTSA plant in Truckee. Under our Recreation division, we also provide maintenance throughout our 9 mile stretch of the lake for the public to have open access to many beautiful beaches and acres of park land. I serve on committees such as the Recreation Commission, and work as a liaison between NTPUD and other agencies such as the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association. We are getting things done in our area by linking our Placer County government to the local residents. Currently we have protected property owners selling homes with extension of the Ordinance 100 time-frames and requirements.
The NTPUD recreation and parks department is a multi-faceted portion of the agency that my board serves. Supported by the local property owners, the recreation fund is a major supporter of the North Tahoe Boys & Girls’ Club and all the youth activities the club provides. The NTPUD property owners, under direction from the Board of Directors, is also the leading sponsor for “Friends of the Park” where we are also working on raising funds for new playground equipment and the final phase of the north lake bike trail system in our NTPUD Regional Park. This popular forested site also features the new and challenging Disc Golf Course, picnicking areas, a covered Ramada barbecue area, a new soccer field, tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, winter cross country skiing on groomed trails and a winter sledding & snow play park facility.
